About the designer

Hugo Toro
Architecte et designer français

L’architecte franco-mexicain Hugo Toro s’est formé à Vienne en Autriche, aux Etats-Unis ainsi qu’à l’école Penninghen (Paris) d’où il sort Major de Promotion en 2012. Passionné de découvertes et de voyages au cours desquels il puise son inspiration, il finit par s’installer en France évolue en tant qu’architecte et architecte d’intérieur.

Il travaille alors sur différents types de projets comme le dessin de restaurants (Perruche, Grand Café Capucine, …) dont un étoilé (La Scène), la réalisation d’appartements privés (l’appartement Léopold ou l’appartement Turbigo) ainsi que de boutiques en France et des hôtels à l’étranger.

Au printemps 2021, il signe l’architecture d’intérieure du restaurant Gigi de Ramatuelle et prépare l’ouverture de Gigi Paris, avenue Montaigne.
Il est également le designer de la boutique Orient Express à la Samaritaine.
Et dès l’automne 2021, il finalisera de nouveaux restaurants à la montagne ainsi qu’un restaurant dans le célèbre Booking Office de la gare St Pancras à Londres.
Depuis toujours et aujourd’hui plus encore, Hugo Toro s’attache à produire une architecture narrative pour chaque projet en y intégrant à la fois le contexte et les contraintes de chaque lieu. Il s’amuse également à jouer sur les contrastes, associant matière brute et matière noble, peaufinant le détail et visant la simplicité.

Based in Paris, the gallery represents and edits collectible pieces in limited edtion. Every work is original and delivered with a certificate of authenticity from the artist. We provide council to our clients in their acquisitions and assist in personalised orders. Our international network and unique, cultivated relationships allow us to present original and unique works.

We favour a delivery service adapted to the value and the nature of the pieces offered. Our partners, galleries and artists work with couriers qualified for the transportation of artworks all around the world. In order to assist the clients, Kolkhoze supervises the transportation up until the final destination. Every delivery requires an online quotation that will be provided within the next three working days. The clients can also collect their item themselves.
